Navigating grief

It's often difficult to imagine life without your loved one. I understand the unique challenges grief presents and offer compassionate support to guide you through this difficult time. My job is to help you find your path to healing.

Grief counselling services

My approach to bereavement is informed by both personal and professional experience. I focus on understanding your personal experience of loss, and help you to identify indicators of adjustment and growth that generate hope and meaning.

Individuals

Families

Support for families navigating grief together, helping parents explain death to children and fostering open communication during a difficult time.

Teens & young adults

Specialized counselling for teens and young adults, acknowledging the unique challenges they face while grieving and striving for independence.

Understanding your grief

Grief is both personal and universal. We grieve a relationship, not a role. It's not only about the person they were. The pain of grief is very much a testament to who you were to them, and who they were to you. At Balanced Minds Counselling, I'm here to help you understand your grief journey.

As someone who has experienced both the loss of a parent, and the loss of spouse, I understand the challenges of navigating life after loss. I've worked with all types of loss (including suicide and substance abuse), and have helped people work through grief at many different stages of life. My approach brings hope for changes in how you feel, think, and act as you strive to live in the aftermath of your loss.

Who we help
